Ingreduents
6 ounces of dark chocolate chopped
1 cup of heavy cream
1 cup of whole milk
2 egg yolks {large}
1/3 cup of sugar
whisk together the yolks and the sugar
in a medium saucepan over med-high heat
combine the milk and the cream, heat until small bubbles appear along the edges
pour the milk over the chocolate, and whisk gently to melt the chocolate
slowly incorporate the egg/sugar mixture
return it to the saucepan and cook over med - med/high heat
until the custard thickens, coating the back of a wooden spoon
{this should take about 5 minutes}
stir often so that your custard won't burn and stick to the bottom
{believe me it's NOT fun, and burnt chocolate is NOT tasty}
after it thickens, pour into cups/dishes/jars - whatever you are going to use
cover
and let it sit in the fridge until you are ready to serve
{at least an hour}
